The exterior is differentiated by extended XC roof rails, tough XC body mouldings, skidplates and front lower cross-member.

Three specification levels2 are available, a highly specified entry
level SE trim which includes full body coloured lower door and bumper
mouldings, 17" Spartes alloy wheels (17" Sargas alloy wheels for
XC70), Sundby Textile/T-tec upholstery (leather-faced for XC), cross brushed

The all new V70 is offered in 14 exterior colours and a choice of four interior colour palettes including a new Scandinavian-inspired Cranberry Red and Off Black leather-faced upholstery. To complement the interior themes a range of four inlays are available including a new Modern Wood trim with a natural finish. The all new XC70 offers a range of 10 different exterior colours and three different interior colour environments. All XCs benefit from new cross-stitched seams as well as the four V70 inlays customers can also choose a unique XC Crossed aluminium trim.
Volvo's popular option packages are also available, including the Communications pack, Active Bi-Xenon pack, Winter pack and Family pack, which includes the new dual stage integrated rear seat child booster cushions. Similarly, a range of estate-friendly accessories are available including a rear parking camera, roof rail load systems and towbars, 3 in 1 cargo dividers and an internal bike carrier.
Performance and technical specifications
The all new Volvo V70 is offered with a choice of three petrol engines and two
diesel engines3. Manual transmission is standard except on
the 3.2 and T6 AWD petrol models which are offered in the geartronic guise
only. Capable of a top speed of 152mph, the all-new 285PS T6 AWD model
also offers a brisk 0 to 60 performance of 6.7 seconds while the frugal 185PS
D5 model delivers 43.5 mpg on a combined cycle and CO2 emissions of 172g/km.
The all new Volvo XC70 is available with a choice of either D5 diesel (manual or geartronic) or 3.2 petrol (geartronic only)4. The popular D5 diesel engine generates 400Nm torque at 200-2750rpm and emits 193g/km.
With competitive pricing, comprehensive specification levels and class-leading standard features, Volvo expects to sell around 7,000 V70 and 2,500 XC70 models in 2008.
