Volvo Day at Gaydon
8 August 2003
An interesting show of Volvos past and present will be at a special Volvo day taking place at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire on Sunday 31 August. The event, which is held in association with the Volvo Owners Club & the Volvo Enthusiasts Club, follows last year’s successful 75th anniversary celebration at the same venue.
The show will be open from 10am until 5pm and apart from the collection of Volvos on show, there will be treasure hunts & face painters for the children, plus an ABBA tribute band performing at 11.30 & 14.30hrs. The Heritage Centre museum, gift shop & cafe will be open from 10am to 5pm.
As well as the current range of Volvo cars, including the award winning XC90 and the familiar Volvos from the past – Amazons, P1800s and PV544s, you can expect to see rare Volvos from the 30s and 40s on display.
To encourage Volvo owners to bring along their old and new cars the Heritage Motor Centre are offering free entry for the driver and a £1 discount off the entrance fee for the Volvo passengers.
