ANNE E. BÉLEC
President and CEO, Volvo Cars of North America, LCC
Ms. Bélec is president and CEO of Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA), Volvo Car Corporation's largest global market. Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Ms. Bélec provides executive leadership to VCNA's marketing, sales, parts, service, technology and training support for Volvo automobile retailers in the United States, and oversight of Volvo operations in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Previously, Ms. Bélec was Vice President of Sales Operations for the Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden, responsible for establishing global standards for all sales and customer satisfaction processes for Volvo customers while increasing sales and efficiency.
Prior to coming to Volvo Cars, Ms. Bélec held a variety of leadership positions in brand management, marketing, and sales and service with the Ford Motor Company (FMC).
As Director of North American Sales Planning & Distribution, she worked on the re-engineering of distribution processes and systems to further improve distribution precision.
Ms. Bélec has held a broad range of positions and responsibilities within FMC, that includes: Network and Business Development Manager then General Marketing Manager at (Lincoln Mercury Division); Portfolio Brand Strategy Manager, Worldwide Marketing Plans Manager (Product Development), and Marketing Plans Manager at Ford Division; and a variety of field positions at Ford of Canada.
Creativity, efficiency, effective delivery and building strong dealer relationships have been ubiquitous characteristics during her illustrious career.
Anne Bélec graduated from Fuqua School of Business - Duke University with a MBA - Emphasis on Global Business and Strategy, and earned both a Bachelor of Commerce - Marketing Major and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa.
Ms. Bélec is a member of boards for Volvo Cars of North America (VCNA), Volvo Cars of Canada, Ltd. (VCCL), and the Volvo Monitoring & Concept Center (VMCC). In 2005, she was nominated to the Automotive News "100 Leading Women in the North American Automotive Industry."
Ms. Bélec serves on the University of California-Irvine Paul Merage School of Business/Graduate School of Management Advisory Board. She was co-chair of the 2005 "Volvo Best Buddies Challenge: Hearst Castle," and has been a trustee of the Marketing Science Institute, since 1999.
Prior to her relocation to Sweden, Ms. Bélec was nominated for Business Women of the Year, Orange County Business Journal (2002); was a 2001-2002 Board Member of the CarClub.com (a JD Power company).
Ms. Bélec is fluent in French and holds dual Canadian and US Citizenships.
