Volvo Cars of North America Sales Report for August
IRVINE, CA September 1, 2005 -- Volvo Cars of North America, LLC. report sales 10,826 units for the month in the United States, representing a 14 percent decrease compared to the best August on record turned in last year.
Overall, NAFTA (Canada, Mexico, and the United States, including Puerto Rico) sales reached 12,159 units 12 percent off the 2004 mark. In August, Volvo Cars Canada reported sales up nearly 7 percent, with 1,042 units sold. Volvo Cars Mexico sold 291 units a slight decrease compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date Canada and Mexico remain ahead of last year, while NAFTA is 4 percent off its record pace of 2004.
